Mac's new OS X gets UNIX 03 certification

Mac OS X Version 10.5 Leopard ဟာ Unix 03 Certification ရရွိတယ္ဆိုတဲ့ အေၾကာင္း သတင္းေတြမွာ ဖတ္လိုက္ရတယ္။ သတင္းေကာင္း တစ္ခုလို ့ ထင္ပါတယ္။ Solaris 10 , HP-UX , IBM z/OS ေတြဟာလည္း Unix Compliant ျဖစ္တယ္ဆိုတာ သိရပါတယ္။ Unix 03 ( Single UNIX Specification Version 3) ဆိုတာ ဘာလဲ။ [UNIX® 03]

Unix Complaint ျဖစ္သြားတယ္ဆိုေတာ့ Platform တစ္ခုမွာ ေရးထားတဲ့ Application ေတြဟာ ေနာက္ Platform တစ္ခုမွာ သံုးလို ့ရေအာင္ဆုိ ျပင္ဆင္ေရးစရာ မလုိေတာ့ဘူးေပါ့။ SUS လုပ္ရတဲ့ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ကကို အဲ့ဒီလို ေရးသားထား ပါတယ္။ "The need for standardization arose because enterprises using computers wanted to be able to develop programs that could be used on the computer systems of different manufacturers without reimplementing the programs."

ဒီေတာ့ Mac OS X Leopard ဟာ Unix Platform ကို စိတ္၀င္စားသူေတြ အားလံုးရဲ့ အာရံုစိုက္မွုကို ပိုရလာလိမ့္မယ္လို ့ ထင္တယ္။ ေက်ာင္းက Database Prof; တစ္ေယာက္ဆို Mac ကိုပဲ အဓိကထားၿပီး သံုးတာကို သတိထားမိခဲ့တယ္။ Rails Core team members ေတြအားလံုးဟာ TextMate ကိုသံုးၿပီး Mac OS X ေပၚမွာ develop လုပ္ၾကတာပါ။ ေနာက္ၿပီး Java သမားေတြ အမ်ားစုကလည္း Mac ကို အဓိက သံုးၾကတယ္လို ့ ၾကားဖူးတယ္။ Java အတြက္ လိုအပ္တာေတြ အကုန္လံုးကို Mac ေပၚမွာ ရေနတယ္ေလ။

ကၽြန္မလည္း Mac ကိုစိတ္၀င္စားတယ္။ ၀ယ္မယ္လို ့ စိတ္ကူးေနတာလည္း ၾကာပါၿပီ။ ခုထိေတာ့ မ၀ယ္ျဖစ္ေသးဘူးေပါ့။ ကၽြန္မ Unix-Like Platform ကို သေဘာက်တာကလည္း Mac OS ေတြကို စိတ္၀င္စားေစတဲ့ အခ်က္ တစ္ခ်က္ပါပဲ။ ၿပီးေတာ့ Mac ေတြက လွလည္း လွတယ္ေလ။ Mac is so sexy!!! မၾကိဳက္တဲ့ အခ်က္ကေတာ့ Mac က Windows ထက္ေတာင္ ပိုၿပီး proprietary ျဖစ္ေသးတယ္။
