Oracle buys Sun

Oracle က Sun Microsystems ကို ၇.၄ ဘီလီယံ နဲ ့ ၀ယ္ယူဖို ့သေဘာတူညီမွဳ ့ရရွိသြားတယ္ ဆိုတဲ့ အေၾကာင္း အခုပဲ ဖတ္လိုက္ရတယ္။ ဒီသတင္းဖတ္ၿပီး အံ့ၾသသြားတယ္။ ထင္မထားတာေတြ ျဖစ္လာလို ့မဟုတ္ဘူး၊ ထင္ထားတာေတြ ျဖစ္လာလို ့ပါ။

ဟိုတေလာ IBM က Sun ကို ၀ယ္ဖို ့ ႀကိဳးစားတယ္ ဖတ္ရတုန္းက တစ္ေယာက္နဲ ့ အဲဒီကိစၥ ဘယ္လို ထင္လဲ ေျပာျဖစ္တယ္။ Oracle က Sun ကို IBM လက္ထဲ ပါခံမယ္ မထင္ဘူး၊ ၀င္လာႏိုင္တယ္ လို ့ေျပာတယ္။ ဘာေၾကာင့္လဲဆို Oracle ရဲ့ Product ေတြ အမ်ားစုက Sun Java အေပၚ အေတာ္ေလးကို မွီေနတယ္။ ဘာပဲျဖစ္ျဖစ္ IBM က Sun ကို ၀ယ္ထာတက္စာရင္ Oracle က Sun ကို ၀ယ္တာေတာ္ေသးတယ္လို ့ ယံုၾကည္တယ္။ Oracle Sun က ၿပီးခဲ့တဲ့ ႏွစ္ ကတင္ MySQL ကိုလည္း ၀ယ္ထားတယ္၊ အခု Oracle က Sun ကို လည္း ၀ယ္လိုက္ၿပီ။ Opensource ေတြဘက္ကၾကည့္ရင္ေတာ့ မေကာင္းဘူး။

အခု အေနအထားအရဆို Oracle က Microsoft ၿပီးရင္ အႀကီးဆံုးလို ့ေတာင္ ေျပာလို ့ရၿပီ။ Oracle က MySQL ကို ရသြားတာကိုေတာ့ အေတာ္ေလး သေဘာမက်ဘူး။ တကယ္ဆို RedHat ကသာ MySQL ကို ၀ယ္လိုက္ႏိုင္ခဲ့တယ္ဆို ပြဲက ပိုၾကည့္ေကာင္းမယ္။

ေတြးမိတာေတြ ဆက္ေရးမယ္ဆို အိပ္ရေတာ့မွာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ေတာ္ၿပီ အိပ္ၿပီ။

    Sun က ထြက္တဲ့ သူေတြ တည္ေထာင္ထားတဲ့ BEA ကို 8.5 billion နဲ႔ Oracle က ၀ယ္ၿပီး Sun ကိုယ္တုိင္က်ေတာ့ 7.4 B ပဲ ရတာ စိတ္၀င္စားဖို႔ မေကာင္းဘူးလား။ ဒါေတာင္ Sun ရဲ႕ Income နဲ႔ Revenue က BEA ထက္သာတယ္။ Oracle လက္ထဲ ေရာက္သြားရင္ေတာ့ technology က ပိုေကာင္းလာႏိုင္ေပမယ့္ ေစ်းတက္မွာေတာ့ အေသအခ်ာပဲ။

    နည္းပညာရဖုိ႔နဲ႔ ျပိဳင္ဆုိင္ဖုိ႔ စီပြားေရးအရလုပ္ၾကေပမယ့္ Open Source Software ကိုအားေပးမႈ မေလ်ာ့ေလာက္ေကာင္းပါဘူး။

    မႏွစ္က Oracle က၀ယ္တာမဟုတ္ဘူး။ Sun က MySQL ကို၀ယ္ထားတာျဖစ္လိမ့္မယ္။

    Matrix :)
    Interesting! IBM still exists. I haven't heard the word IBM for many years.
    I thought Google is the biggest one. You said Micorsoft is the one. I thought Bill Gates had to go retire as he lost something
    I normally stop when Sun trying to update. Really annoying to me. Greedy software i beleive.
    of course,i have been in the different field. so little knowledge about IT apart from basic HTML.

    hummm ...
    Oracle seems to be evil
    They bought Innobase (makers of InnoDB) in 2005
    Sun own Mysql
    Now Oracle owns Sun
    So Oracle + MySQL = ?
